The development history
According to the book of mountains and seas, there is an Yanzhou in the South China Sea. The trees there will not be burned up, but the more they burn, the more they grow. So the local people make cloth from the fiber of bark, which is called HuoHuanBu.
During the reign of emperor Huan of the Han Dynasty, General Liang Ji made a single garment of huohuanbu. Once, General Liang wore it to entertain the guests, deliberately snatched wine at the banquet, smashed the glass and soiled his clothes. General Liang took off his clothes and threw them into the fire. “Burn it,” he said The clothes glowed in the fire. The fire went out and the dust was removed. But the clothes were as clean as ordinary clothes washed with water. Later, the clothes made of huohuanbu were put on the ancient firefighters, which is also the earliest legend about the fire fighting clothes in China.
The word asbestos comes from ancient Greek, meaning: flame retardant. This kind of material has been widely used in the processing of fire-fighting clothing, so as to achieve the flame-retardant effect.
Asbestos fire suits have been used for a long time in China’s fire protection history. At the present level of science and technology, it is not difficult to make a high-tech “huohuanbu”. But there were similar creations in that era, which was quite difficult.
After liberation, the development of firemen’s protective clothing in China can be divided into three stages. The first stage is the last century
From the 1950s to the end of the 1970s, there was only one kind of fire-fighting protective clothing as combat clothing. Its fabric was pure cotton canvas, with green upper body and blue lower body. It had no function of waterproof and flame retardant. The second stage is from the early 1980s to the 1990s. During this period, firefighters mainly wear 81 type fire fighting clothes and 85 type fire fighting clothes. The third stage is from 1990s till now, the 94, 97, 02 and 09 fire fighting suits developed successively have been applied to the fire fighting forces.
“Big green” is a fire-fighting suit with the standard name of 94 type flame-retardant fire fighting suit. It is the main protective clothing provided by the fire-fighting forces in China in the 1990s. It is made of fire-resistant fiber cloth, fire-proof layer, heat insulation layer, waterproof layer and flame-retardant layer. The clothing has good fire-resistant performance and radiation heat penetration resistance. Compared with the fire-fighting suit in the 1970s, it is protected to a certain extent Personal safety of firefighters and soldiers.
Modern protective clothing
At present, the task of firefighters is no longer to fight so single.
Big to earthquake relief, car accident rescue and so on rescue rescue, small to take a hornet’s nest, rescue small animals and so on social rescue, is the duty of fire officers and soldiers.
Diversified rescue also provides a stage for the development and production of protective clothing.
From 2009 to now, the fire force’s protective clothing has evolved from a single fire clothing to a special protective clothing for different environmental responses.
With the progress of science and technology and the rapid development of society, in the face of complex and changeable rescue situation, the requirements for all kinds of protective clothing are increasingly high.
Special protective clothing will continue to develop towards intelligence, comprehensiveness and high performance.
